Getting from Catania to Taormina
Private Transfer
This is a convenient option taking you directly to your hotel, pre booking this option is approx. €120 one way.
Coach
Coaches leave from Catania airport approx. every 15 minutes, tickets can be purchased outside the airport at €7 per person one way. This takes you to Taormina City and is only a few minutes walk to the center.
Train
Trains are approx. every 20-40 minutes, however not all these leave from the airport, you may need to get a coach in to Catania City to take the train to Taormina which takes 50-60 minutes.
The train station in Taormina is a short walk to the cable cart which takes you to the city.
Train tickets are approx €6.
Car Hire
If you want to explore Sicily while you’re here having a car gives you this freedom, however I would check with your hotel if they have parking (and pre book this) as parking in Taormina can be a pain, especially in the city.
